Weed Control Treatment Schedule
Weeds are a nuisance on your lawn, but our weed control program is designed to effectively combat them! This program consists of seven visits, during which we'll apply pre- and post-emergent weed control treatments, as well as granular fertilizer and grub control, to give your turf everything it needs to stay healthy and beautiful. Our weed control schedule is as follows:
- Step 1: Our first visit is between early March and mid-April and involves applying a pre-emergent weed control treatment to prevent crabgrass from surfacing. We'll also administer nitrogen-heavy fertilizer to wake up your lawn from winter dormancy and provide nutrients to encourage healthy growth.
- Step 2: This visit, scheduled between early April and mid-May, includes a second pre-emergent weed control treatment to provide extended protection from crabgrass, plus another fertilizer application to continue supporting your turf's health.
- Step 3: From late May to early June, we'll apply post-emergent weed control to eliminate any existing weeds, along with fertilizer to keep your grass well-nourished. This step also includes optional preventative grub control.
- Step 4: The fourth visit is between early June and mid-July and includes post-emergent weed control, fertilizer, and grub control treatments.
- Step 5: Our fifth visit is scheduled from early July to mid-August for another weed control and fertilizer treatment to continue supporting your lawn's growth during the summer season. Grub control is also applied.
- Step 6: We'll apply a weed control application and fertilizer treatment in August.
- Step 7: Our final visit is scheduled between mid-September and early October. It includes a post-emergent weed control treatment to eliminate any existing weeds, plus a fertilizer application to help your lawn recover from summer stress and prepare for winter dormancy.
